Stevens Point, Copper Falls, Black River Falls

Kelly and I have started traveling once more! 🎉 We are very excited to settle back into a routine of changing places and cultures. We plan to pick this blog back up for a few months to document our adventures. Our first stop: Stevens Point, WI.

My mother lives in Stevens Point. It is my hometown, where I attended primary and secondary school growing up.

For the few days we visited, Kelly, Mom and I enjoyed walking on the Green Circle. The picture above is from a section that we often hiked. This location is where my sister, Heather, helps Afane spot tadpoles when they are back in the US.

We also enjoyed hanging out with my mother, celebrating a birthday with some good food (Father Fats), and saying a short-term good bye to our sweet kitties, Sammy and JoJo.

Our next stop was Copper Falls State Park:

The weather in Wisconsin was perfect for the days we were there. The hike around Copper Falls and Brownstone Falls were a lot of fun. Kelly and I hope to explore many more US State and Canadian Provincial parks in the weeks to come.

We are currently staying in Bessemer which is in the Porcupine Mountains region of the Upper Peninsula (UP) of Michigan. There is record breaking heat here today, along with a lot of United States. However, we got up early and went to check out a bunch of waterfalls off of the Black River National Forest Scenic Byway. Here is what we got to see:
