We have had a relatively uneventful week here in Switzerland and it has been wonderful. On the days that it hasn’t rained, we have hiked for 2-3 hours in the morning, then had lunch before Garett worked, and after work went out into the city for a little while. Lucerne isn’t all that big and they have great public transit, so it’s been easy to get around.
I went to a lovely museum, Sammlung Rosengart, that had a beautiful collection of works by Picasso, Miro, Kandinsky, Sargent, and just about everyone else you’ve heard of. It was the perfect size, just three medium-small floors. There’s nothing like leaving a museum and thinking you actually appreciated everything.
Here are some final pictures.
Because it’s Switzerland, the lake is occupied by more swans than ducks. They may look dignified but they are just as greedy and willing to fight for food as normal birds. Their necks are so crazy.

Some night and evening photos by the lake and river.

And a few pictures from our hikes. This one is a funny mini-golf on the side of the mountain with horses grazing between holes. We thought it was silly and fun.

On our way up.
And inside the Jesuit Church.

We are going to Pula, Croatia next. There’s a ton of Roman stuff and really cool history, so I’m very excited.
